Tornado Alley

The house was a wreck. Toys, everywhere...kids, everywhere.

Here is Kaleb daring me to take his stuff. Just kidding! Actually this was one of many "off limits to the packers" corners in the house. Our house, like many German homes, has three levels. So on every level, we had a "leave it!" pile. As you may recall, the packers came unexpectedly. The funny thing is, yesterday, after they were all gone and we were rumaging through the remains I found my "to do" list from Monday morning. Times were simpler then. I was blissfully unaware of the cazyness that was to unfold. And here's the thing, I was totally ready for them to come...on Tuesday. I mean, I had a few last minute things to do, but ...you know... totally ready. The good news is that I only had to cut open (1...3,4...6) eight boxes to find things (that would have been out of reach had they come on TUESDAY).

This was the view into my dining room on Monday afternoon. With my "Opa Urhen" left unwrapped and the couch on it's back. Even it was tired of being on it's feet!

And last but not least, Kaleb and I hiding out in his room as the pirates looted our house of precious jewels, gold, and valuable toys. Luck for us we saved the magic sleeping hat that makes anyone who wears it, fall asleep instantly. Sweet dreams!
