Tomorrow is my birthday! Yea! I am normally very excited about this fabulous, once a year event, but I realized yesterday that the movers packed up my tiara. How sad. I wear it every year on my birthday. All day really. And then another event happened this morning that made me even more morose. When I went in to see the doctor for my asthma screening, she told me that the little "breath test" thingy (I'm pretty sure that's the technical term) computed that I had the lungs of a 49 year old. A 49 year old?! I'm only 32! Okay so I'm 33 tomorrow, but still! That's a full 16 year difference. I informed Dr. Piech (like the fruit) that I didn't think that the machine test was fair since I didn't have one at home to practice on and get better at. I mean, when you first do the age test on the Wii, it's always high. And then you practice, and it gets better. I told her, "Just so we're clear, I'm 42 years on the Wii." She found that hysterical. She even wrote it in my chart. In the words of Charlie Brown, "Good grief."
And one more thing, I would like to point out that when I went in for my annual check up a few weeks ago with another doctor, she was shocked when I told her that I was 32. She even when so far as to say, "I would have put you closer to 23 than 32." So there!
Anyways, I'm going to go work on the Wii some more. I'm now motivated to get my Wii age down into the 30's. That'll show her!

Happy Birthday to you! I am glad to hear you are visiting your Dr. on a regular basis...that is progress!
Ahhh you are only as old as you feel...I don't think we really go by lung age!
